UIA RIO 2020

Acontece em 2020 no Rio de Janeiro o encontro da União Internacional dos Arquitetos, sob o tema“All the worlds. Just one world. Arcitecture 21”, sendo que a identidade deste evento foi escolhida por meio de concurso realizado pelo IAB. Every 3 years the UNION INTERNATIONALE DES ARCHITECTES (UIA) organizes the World Congress of Architects, always in a different city, where experienced and young professionals working in planning and construction, professors and architecture students, gather to discuss ideas and share professional experiences. Conducted by the Brazilian Architects Institute (IAB), Rio de Janeiro had its proposal selected for the 2020 congress. To start the event planning, the IAB launched a contest to select the visual identity of the congress, and the theme was: ALL THE WORLDS. JUST ONE WORLD. ARCHITECTURE 21. So this was our proposal: The world we live in is built by many worlds, coexisting in space-time interacting in process sometimes fruitful, sometimes conflicting, but undeniably interconnected and mutually influential. Present and past, present and future, organic growth and urban planning, blueprint and the building, the technical excellence of the architectonic drawings and the free interaction of human beings whit the space, the imaginative-constructive vision of the architect when projecting and the appropriation of the constructions by the people — all these worlds, with their particularities, challenges and opportunities, overlapped shape our world; all of these worlds meet at UIA27 RIO 2020.
